Celery Juice

Fresh celery juice is one of the most powerful and healing juices one can drink. Just 16 oz of fresh celery juice every morning on an empty stomach can transform your health and digestion in as little as one week.

Celery juice also has significant anti-inflammatory properties making it highly beneficial for those who suffer from autoimmune conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Migraines, Vertigo, IBS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Lupus, Guillain-Barre, Sarcoidosis, Raynaud's, Meniere's, GERD, Bursitis, Restless Leg Syndrome, and Gout.

Celery juice is also strongly alkaline and helps to prevent and counteract acid reflux, acidosis, high blood pressure, joint pain, ringing in ears, tingles & numbness, hot flashes, blurry eyes, headaches, heart palpitations, edema, heartburn, fatigue, dizziness, muscle cramps, sleep issues, constipation, and bloating. It also helps to purify the bloodstream, aid in digestion, relax the nerves, reduce blood pressure, and clear up skin problems. Celery contains compounds called coumarins which are known to enhance the activity of certain white blood cells and support the vascular system.

Celery juice is rich in organic sodium content and has the ability to dislodge calcium deposits from the joints and hold them in solution until they can be eliminated safely from the kidneys. It is also an effective natural diuretic and has ample ability to flush toxins out of the body which makes it excellent to use on any weight loss program.

Celery Juice

Ingredients

1 bunch celery* (makes approx 16oz juice)

*organic when possible

Preparation

Wash 1 bunch of celery and run through a juicer, drink immediately for most therapeutic benefits. However, if you prefer, you can also blend the celery in a Vitamix, Nutribullet, or any high speed blender with a little water and either drink as is, or strain as desired.

optional: if you find the taste of straight celery juice too strong, you can add a cucumber &/or an apple to the juice, however this will slightly dilute its effectiveness. Or, if you prefer a more gentle juice you can make straight cucumber juice instead which is also very healing and beneficial.

13 Toxic Things You Can Replace With Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil has been used for centuries to treat a number of different conditions. Perhaps best known for its skin benefits, tree oil has strong anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Further, tree oil has shown to be just as if not more effective in treating certain conditions than over-the-counter products and/or prescription medicines.

HERE ARE 13 THINGS YOU CAN THROW AWAY AND REPLACE WITH TEA TREE OIL:

1. ACNE MEDICATION

For those of us prone to breaking out, tree oil can be a great solution. As opposed to traditional chemical-laden skincare products, tree oil is also natural and provides nourishment for the skin. Simply dilute a few drops of tree oil with 20 to 40 drops of witch hazel and apply to skin once or twice daily.
Tree oil does make skin more sensitive to UV rays, so make sure to avoid long stretches of sun exposure.

2. TOXIC NAIL CHEMICALS

Combined with some other oils – jojoba, avocado and lavender – tree oil is good for softening cracked nail cuticles.
Ingredients:
-1 tablespoon avocado oil
– 1 tablespoon jojoba oil
– 10 drops tea tree oil
– 10 drops lavender oil
First combine the jojoba and avocado oils into a small, dark-colored bottle – this helps to preserve the oil beforehand if using the mixture later. When ready, simply add the other oils and shake the mixture to combine ingredients.

3. CHEMICAL LADEN ANTISEPTICS

Tree oil is a natural and healthy antiseptic. It is also the perfect homemade wound ointment. For deeper cuts, it’s recommended to rinse the wound with a water and hydrogen peroxide mix before applying.
For an additional soothing effect, consider adding lavender oil.  Simply apply the tree oil (and lavender, if desired) to a clean wound once or twice a day.

4. TOENAIL FUNGUS MEDICATIONS

Tree oil is a potent, yet healthy, anti-fungal substance. Some even state that tree oil is more effective at killing toenail fungus than traditionally prescribed anti-fungal medication.
Simply dab a cotton swab into undiluted tree oil and apply to the affected once or twice a day.

5. DEODORANT

Healthy, natural deodorant can be made using tree oil. In addition to tree oil’s other qualities, it is also an antimicrobial – it can kill or inhibit microorganism growth, including the ones that cause body odor.
To make this deodorant, you will need coconut oil and baking soda. You can find the recipe here.

6. PSORIASIS MEDICATION

Tree oil is effective in reducing the inflammation of the skin. As such, it can be used as a natural remedy for psoriasis and eczema.
Mix one teaspoon of coconut oil, five drops of tea tree oil and five drops of lavender oil to create this healthy mixture.

7. TOXIC SHAMPOOS

Tea tree oil has proven to be very beneficial for hair and scalp health. The oil can heal flaked skin, remove dandruff and even be used as a lice treatment.
To create a tree oil solution for hair, mix several drops of tea tree oil with aloe vera gel, coconut milk and essential oils (if desired).

8. TOXIC CLEANING PRODUCTS

Because of tea tree oil’s antimicrobial properties, it’s also a perfect ingredient for a homemade household cleaning solution. Use it anywhere in the home – kitchen, shower, toilet, sinks and countertops – to achieve a thorough cleaning.
Mix ½ cup of white vinegar, 3 cups of water and 10 drops of tea tree oil. For added scent, add an essential oil.

9. UNNATURAL TOOTHPASTES

Naturally, tree oil’s anti-bacterial properties make for a great toothpaste ingredient. Combining this trait with tree oil’s ability to reduce inflammation makes it a terrific solution for reducing bleeding of the gums. It’s also been shown to help fight tooth decay.
There are a couple different recipes in making tree oil toothpaste, both of which can be found here.

 10. TEA TREE OIL REPLACES MAKEUP REMOVERS

Makeup remover…although this writer has no need for it, this may grab our female reader’s collective attention.
Ingredients:
– ¼ cup canola oil
– 10 drops tea tree oil
– 4 oz. glass container
After pouring all ingredients in a sterilized glass container, seal it with a tight lid and then shake until blended. Make sure the mixture is stored in a cool, dark area.

11. ATHLETE’S FOOT MEDICINE

Tree oil is a powerful solution to people who deal with the burning, scratching and scaling from athlete’s foot. Add a few drops to a tablespoon of witch hazel and apply with a cotton swab two to three times a day.

12. TEA TREE OIL CAN REPLACE YEAST INFECTION MEDICINES

Some studies have shown that tea tree oil can interfere with the chemical makeup of yeast, which makes it ideal in treating this condition. When combined with lavender – which eliminates candida – yeast is effectively eliminated.
To make this cocktail, you’ll need a few drops of tea tree oil, a few drops of lavender oil and a few drops of distilled water. Using a cotton swab, apply the mixture to the affected areas.

13. TEA TREE OIL CAN REPLACE EAR INFECTION MEDICATIONS

Combining all of the essential properties of tree oil – as an antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral – it can greatly assist in alleviating ear infections. Also, the anti-inflammatory properties can help with the pain and irritation that surface when the ear is infected.
Ingredients:
– 3 drops of tea tree oil
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 1 teaspoon of colloidal silver
– 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
Combine all ingredients in a pan and place over low heat until warm. Fill a dropper with the solution. Lie on your side with the head on a towel and drip the solution into one ear. Allow 5-10 minutes to pass, let the ear drain and then repeat. Do this 3 times a day for 3 days.

Thyme Tea

Thyme tea contains potent anti-viral properties and is essential for Epstein Barr, Shingles, Hepatitis, Influenza, Herpes, Cytomegalovirus, HPV, etc. If taken on a regular basis it can significantly help to reduce the viral load in the body which makes it highly beneficial for those suffering with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Vertigo, Tinnitus, and Multiple Sclerosis.
Thyme tea also helps stimulate memory, ease headaches and muscle tension, soothe coughs, relieve fevers, and fight colds and infections. Thyme is a good source of pyridoxine which is known to play an important role in manufacturing GABA levels in the brain, aid in regulating sleep patterns, and benefit neurotransmitter function in the brain. GABA is also one of the best natural defenses against stress damage.

Thyme tea is a great purifying herb for the digestive tract and has been found to destroy certain intestinal hookworms and roundworms and aid in the digestion of rich or fatty foods. It is packed with bioflavonoids such as lutein, zeaxanthin, and naringenin which have powerful effects on eliminating free-radicals and other disease producing substances from the body.

Fresh thyme can be found in the produce section of your local supermarket or health food store. Thyme is also an exceptionally easy herb to grow and can produce abundantly in both containers &/or home gardens.
